In November 2020 Almaty will host the National Forum on Education and Environmental Culture, the culminating event of which will be the award ceremony of the winner of the "Teacher of Kazakhstan". The National Award "Teacher of Kazakhstan" is held by the Fund for the Development of Socially Significant Initiatives to identify creative, talented teachers who implement in practice the ideas of active approach to teaching students. Teachers of primary and secondary education (secondary schools, gymnasiums, lyceums) with at least three years' experience and planning to stay in pedagogical activity during the next 5 years participate in the Award on a voluntary basis.

A NIS teacher from Nur-Sultan also takes part in the Award. Beisembayeva Dinara Toktarkanovna works as a teacher of chemistry at the branch "Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Nur-Sultan" of the autonomous organization of education "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools". During her work at the school Dinara Beisembayeva proved to be a highly moral, fast learner, responsible, punctual and creative person. She managed to pass on to many students high moral and spiritual qualities, to enrich the world of the younger generation.

Since childhood, she dreamed of becoming a teacher and consciously chose this profession. Her career as a teacher of chemistry and biology began in 2005 at the military school "Jas Ulan" after graduating from the Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute. In 2006 she worked at a secondary school in Semey city, and in 2012 in connection with moving to Zharma district of the East Kazakhstan region to Shar city she got a job as a teacher of biology at school with the Kazakh language of instruction.

In 2013 she moved to Nur-Sultan city and started working as a chemistry teacher in Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Nur-Sultan under the International Baccalaureate program. She began to study English intensively and in one year reached the point where she became fluent in English. In 2017 she was invited to the International School of Barcelona as a teacher of chemistry and sciences. Her achievement at this school was the project activities of the Science Fair of 9th grade students, who presented 54 projects related to their interests in science. She returned to Kazakhstan in 2018 in order to implement her experience abroad in our schools.

Another achievement is its development from a rural school teacher to the International Examiner, International Expert and developer of the International Baccalaureate of Chemistry program. As a member of the International Baccalaureate Program Development Team, she is involved in the innovative effort to create an International Chemistry Program for grades 11 and 12 with all components and requirements taken into account. As a member of the International Examiners team, she is standardizing the assessment of exams and research papers for children around the world.

In teaching practice, Dinara Beisembayeva uses research-based teaching using the 5Es method - engage, explore, explain, elaborate, evaluate. In the first stage, she gives problematic questions or research questions in order to arouse interest and motivation of students. She also uses Flipped classroom methods to develop independence and differentiation in learning.

Her graduates show a high quality of knowledge. In 2015, 2017, 2018 academic years, students in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program had higher scores in external examinations, which contributed to their entry into the world's leading educational institutions: Nazarbayev University - 9 students, KIMEP - 1, Hong Kong Polytechnic University - 1, New York University in Abu Dhabi - 1, Pohang University of Science and Technology - 1, Budapest University of Technology and Economics - 1, Student College, Germany - 1.

In addition to teaching chemistry, Dinara Beisembayeva helps students in their diploma program to write the main component - an extended essay, where students get 4 and 5 points out of 5 possible.

It should be noted that Beisembayeva Dinara Toktarkanovna is the owner of the Grand Prix of the network competition among teachers of the autonomous organization of education "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" - "Teacher of the Year - 2020".

According to the NIS teacher of Nur-Sultan, in today's world it is very important to develop conceptual understanding, these abstract ideas and concepts help to deepen understanding of the subject and strengthen inter-subject relationships. She believes that conceptual thinking helps children broaden their horizons, generate ideas, and be more creative. Dinara always strives to develop the following qualities in her students: learning with enthusiasm and love for knowledge throughout their lives, studying the problems of Kazakhstan and the world, finding solutions to these problems. Her pedagogical motto/credo is «To love those you teach and to love what you teach».

The first qualifying round of the Prize will be held from October 1 to November 1, 2020. At all stages of the Award, the jury will assess such qualities in the applicant's activity as: professional skill; active citizenship, participation in socially important projects; teacher's work system; personal qualities; ability to create and maintain a high level of motivation and high intensity of students' activity; depth and originality of judgment, etc. In the selection process, the Independent Academy of Judges selects the 10 best teachers (whose applications will be sent to participate in the contest "Teacher of Peace"), who will be awarded with insignia and the winner will be awarded the prize "Teacher of Kazakhstan" and the award of 10,000 USD.
