First meeting of the Board of Trustees
The first meeting of the Board of Trustees for the year 2022 was held at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Nur-Sultan.
The Board of Trustees is a public association established to support the school.
First of all, the best projects of the NIS International Baccalaureate School were presented to the guests. In particular, the project of psychological support for teenagers “Nomad Teens” by authors Zhaniya Kenes and Arsen Mukhamedjanov, the project “Jazgysh” offered by Arman Rysmakhanov and Ekaterina Kim to help blind people in writing, the project of Balgyn Orazaly “Uide Oqy”, which helped to improve the knowledge of students during the quarantine. In addition, the youngest eco-ambassador – Sunim Zeingabyl told about eco-movements, Ayazhan Temirbolat, Tomiris Utesheva, Elmira Abenova told about the prospects of the project “Zhas and Healthy”.
National values are passed from generation to generation through culture, art and traditions. In this regard, Aktolgay Sharibat showed guests the author’s board game, and Ibrahim Amirbek noted the importance of digitalization of the game “Kokpar”.
During the conversation with students, Board member Berik Dzhakenov noted that students’ projects are at a high level, also proposed further cooperation with the akimat for joint work. Students also received a positive feedback on their activities from a member of the Board of Trustees Bapakhova Aida Galihanovna.
During the meeting, the director of the school Sabyrzhan Sadvakasov in his introductory speech introduced the educational achievements of the Intellectual School in the academic year 2021-2022, the enrollment of graduates in higher education, the achievements of the school community in scientific and Olympiad and personal projects.
– “According to the results of the Diploma Program in 2021, more than 20 students scored 40 out of a possible 45 points, with one student scoring a maximum and record score of 44 out of 45 points. Also the results of IELTS and SAT exams are increasing every year. Also this year, a record 1678 applicants have applied to our school,” shared the school principal.
In accordance with the agenda of the Board of Trustees meeting, the Board of Trustees plan for 2022 was also discussed.
