Ayazhan Musaeva, a student of the NIS International Baccalaureate School, won the second place in the open championship in taekwondo

The “Steppe Heritage” Open Championship was held in Shymkent in early October.  Athletes from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan took part in the tournament.

Ayazhan took to the platform in the 14-15 age category and showed a good game. According to her, the competition was at a very high level.

– These competitions were useful for me in many ways because this time I was able to understand how this kind of martial arts is seen in other countries, what our techniques are similar and what our differences are. It was difficult because of the constant tension and excitement, especially since our duties, as the older athletes on our team, included constant supervision over the younger ones, – said Ayazhan.

It’s worth noting that Ayazhan Musaeva is a 6-gyp taekwondo winner.
