“STEAM Education in the Context of a Modern Kazakhstani School”

NIS International Baccalaureate School held master classes on “STEAM Education in the Context of a Modern Kazakhstani School”.

The master class was organized within the “Jana Talap” project implemented by Caravan of Knowledge together with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Chevron Munaigas Inc.

About 20 teachers of natural and mathematical direction from “Saken Seifullin Comprehensive School” and “Karoy Comprehensive School” of Nurinsk district, Karaganda Region have taken part in the master class.  This participation rate is proof that STEAM training is both relevant and in demand.

During the master class 3 main directions were considered, namely 5E learning model, engineering design and problem based learning (PBL).

– Based on the results of our workshop today, every teacher has always been a sought-after, continuous learner and innovator educator. Thank you to our colleagues who organized the class,” the participants shared.

The master class was led by physics teacher Arman Imansharipova and Kymbat Dyusembaeva, a teacher from the Design Department.
