Students meet famous journalist Charles McLean
Charles MacLean is known for his first news broadcasts on the world stage. The journalist began his professional career as a correspondent for NBC News, broadcasting news from 57 countries for fifteen years. In addition, Charles MacLean has covered the Falklands War, the first Gulf War and many other famous historical events.
At a meeting in the format of an open lecture, the speaker shared his vision of modern journalism in conditions of widespread development of social networks and the role of the journalist in shaping public opinion. The intellectuals were also interested in the guest’s profound knowledge of anthropology. The participants of the meeting asked many questions about the choice of this profession, as most students of the International Baccalaureate study social and cultural anthropology as a subject of choice.
