May 1 – Special Day of Unity

The NIS International Baccalaureate School started a parade of celebrations for National Friendship Day on May 1. 

On October 18, 1995, by the Decree of the President, May 1 was declared the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan.

Today in our school’s atrium, curators and parents welcomed the school community with national dishes.

– After the pandemic, the students missed the in-school activities.  Today’s special feature was that 40 kilos of baursak were cooked for the holiday table. The mood of the students is great. We congratulate everyone on the holiday,” said Magripa Altaybekova, deputy director for educational work.

There were not only sweets, but also interesting inter-activities. Students answered questions under the project “Proverbs and sayings in my life”.

Also, students and parents met in national costumes of other nationalities.
