«Eco Jeli eco» – project competition ended in NIS schools
As part of the Eco Hackathon, the students of the Intellectual Schools presented 25 projects, which were prepared and recognized as the best over the course of 5 months.
The participants of the final round presented their projects in an online format to the jury on the topics of alternative energy sources, global warming and solar energy.
– The main goal of the Eco-Network is to work together to implement initiatives in the field of nature and ecology. The Eco-Network will continue its work in the coming years as an association of the Intellectual Schools representing a common purpose. It will be implemented through the work of the Eco-club in each Nazarbayev Intellectual School and through joint network projects, – shared Eco-Ambassador Sanim Zeingabyl.
According to the results of the hackathon the team of two intellectual schools in Nur-Sultan “Eco Warriors” and “Team Bumblebees”, as well as “EcoGenZ” from Aktau and “AsMazir” from the intellectual school of chemical and biological Shymkent took second place.
Two Aktau teams “Electro Hakim” and “Eco Friendly” and a team from Semei “Shagan X” were distinctive projects.
The best of the best was the Kokshetau team “Eco Power”, which took first place.
– All the teams have worked for six months to solve environmental problems, and today they can see the results of their work. It is gratifying that strong experts in ecology and business – Bakhyt Yesekina, Aida Bapakhova, Adil Zharmukhambetov, Zhanar Kulzhanova, Gulmira Ismagulova, Asylzhan Upasheva, Beksultan Urazbekov, Maryam Kasymova, Mukhtar Koshkarbaev, Aliya Salmenova and Alina Dosanova – participated in the competition. The jury highly appreciated the level of the students’ projects! I’m sure that such contests will keep an annual tradition and the work of eco-clubs will continue from one generation to another,” said project coordinator Dana Kasymbayeva.
The devices, business plans, and mobile games offered by intellectuals will become indispensable projects that will help preserve nature in the future.
