A strong family is a strong state

The NIS School of International Baccalaureate has started a “A stable family” project.

Love for the homeland is born out of love for loved ones and relatives.  A bright future is the strength and peace of the family. Within the framework of the project “A stable family ” at NIS International Baccalaureate school a psychological training was held, which makes up the triad of child-family-school.

The event was opened by the school director, Sabyrzhan Sadvakasov, and he wished the training participants good luck.

– Strengthening parent-child relationships reduces risk factors in adolescents, said psychologist Zhanbota Abdrakhmanova.

The “A stable family” programme, created by the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, has been included in the curricula of school psychologists in Central Asia, as well as in Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The program consists of 7 sections. One hour sessions were conducted with teenagers (“youth”) and parents (“parents”), and then parents participated in another one hour session with teenagers (“family”).

The first to participate in the offline training were parents of 7th-8th graders.
