In honor of the Day of the Elderly, the students of the NIS International Baccalaureate School congratulated the elderly on their holiday

The meeting was held at the NIS school in Astana.  Guests from the “Sharapat” social service center watched a performance by intellectuals. Gulmira Abisheva, deputy director of the school for educational work, spoke at the holiday event, which gathered the elderly people of Astana.

– Respect for our elders is our custom coming from our ancestors. Your life experience, advice and instructions are important to us”, Gulmira Abisheva shared.

 The song “Saryzhaylau” was performed for the elderly, dombrists sang kyuis, and dancers showed their fine art. At the end of the concert, students presented their drawings and flowers to the elderly. 

– For several days, our students specially painted these pictures.  They dedicated all their gratitude and love. And the gift of indoor flowers has its own specifics. According to the idea of the students, every time the grandparents see these flowers, they remembered this wonderful concert,” said the teacher-organizer-curator Perizat Tleuberdiyeva.

Shanyrak “Bayanaul” and “Altyn Emel”, with the support of parents, set a white dastarkhan and continued the festive evening at the table.

In turn, the older people thanked the students, their parents and teachers.
