“Sen bilesin be?” – Middle Years Programme

The Middle Years Programme (MYP) is the second programme, represented by the International Baccalaureate (IB), for students ages 11 to 16 from the 7th to the 10th grades.
 
The core of education in the MYP is the student. This emphasises IB’s belief in the student’s holistic and spiritual development as an individual, as well as its belief in the value of independent learning. The Core School programme is designed to guide pupils in the search for awareness of their role in nature and society.
 
The school provides instruction in the following subject areas in the Core Curriculum:
– Language and Literature : Kazakh, Russian and English
– Language acquisition: Kazakh, Russian and English
– Mathematics
– Human and Society: History of Kazakhstan and Geography, World History, Social Science, Economics.
– Science: Integrated Sciences, Biology, Physics and Chemistry
– Design: Information Technology, Computer Science and Technology
– Art: Art and Drama
– Physical Education.
 
In addition, the curriculum has two major components: “Personal Project” and “Service and Action.”
