Capital NIS student wins Oxford Sixth Form college scholarship of the United Kingdom
Shadiyar Talas, a 10 G grade student at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Nur-Sultan, took part in a school competition for a two-year A-levels programme in economics or engineering at Oxford Sixth Form College and won a 50% scholarship to study at the college.
During the 5-stage Olympiad, Shadiyar passed tests in English, math, and economics, and wrote an essay. The final stage included an interview with a college representative.
– Getting into a grant program at a U.K. university is not for everyone. If I finish my two-year studies in this country, there may be future incentives for British universities. In the future I want to become a qualified specialist in business and economics or political science. I believe that when you get a good opportunity, you should not only believe in success, but also work hard and hone your skills, – said Shadyar.
