A NIS STUDENT IN THE CAPITAL WON A GRANT OF THE CONTEST "SUPPORT OF VOLUNTEER PROJECTS"

Murat Zhangir, a student of the 11th grade of Nazarbayev Intellectual School, became the winner of the contest "Support of Volunteer Projects" in Nur-Sultan. Murat Zhangir is the youngest volunteer among the winners of the contest.

During the quarantine, he spent no time wasting on free guitar playing lessons and English language courses for children from low-income families and orphanages. According to him, the goal of this project is to provide the guitar to children from large families who play the guitar.

- I want to buy a guitar and rent it to children for free. Then I will teach my interested friends how to play the instrument online," Murat said.

This project was attended by 48 young people from the capital. Only 22 projects received the money prize. Each volunteer received a grant in the amount of 300 thousand tenge to develop their projects.

From September 10 to October 1, applications for participation in the contest were received from young people aged 14-29 and public organizations.

- About 200 projects of the youth of the capital were considered for the contest. At that, the emphasis was made not on separate projects of volunteers but on their usefulness for society," said Daulet Karibek, head of Department of youth policy of Nur-Sultan.
