Interdisciplinary unit exhibition
On the 4th of March, 2020, 10th-grade students organized an exhibition of final products in subjects “Biology”
, “Geography” and “Economics”, as part of the interdisciplinary teaching and learning process. Students created a poster about “Life of Amazonian forests”, exploring how excessive consumption of vital resources can have a detrimental effect on the environment and lead to many causes and effects in relationships between people and objects. The main goal of the final product was to consider the problem of excessive human consumption of vital resources, namely forest resources in the Amazon River Valley. During the study, students had the opportunity to learn from the perspective of various subjects how fires and the massive destruction of Amazonian forest resources lead to various problems. According to the economy, students determined the causes of the decrease in forest areas, as well as the level of poverty in this region. In the framework of the Biology, students studied the influence of this problem on the reduction of oxygen production during photosynthesis, and according to geography, students analyzed how fires and deforestation of the Amazon region affect the composition of the atmospheric air and the Earth’s further ecosystem. Due to the coordinated work of the leaders: Omralina M.A., Tokseitova G.K., and Sarsenbekova S. S. the posters were very interesting, and the learning process was very fascinating.
